PURSUANT to section 1 of the Ngai Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting—

• (a) By and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council; and

• (b) On the recommendation of the Prime Minister given after receiving written advice from Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu that the Ngai Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998 is acceptable to Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu,—

makes the following order.
